This CD is a snapshot of a moment in
time. It was recorded live at a friend’s
home studio during the late hours of December 15, 2003. I opted to record
live, because I believe a live recording is the truest reflection of one’s
soul. It represents what I do day in and day out. It is what it is – a moment
in time, a testimony of my development, a point of reference – a simple
reflection of who I am, where I’ve been, and where I’m going. I once heard that there are two kinds of
artists in the music industry. The kind that age like wine, and the kind that
age like milk. Seeing how I’ve already invested many years refining my soul
underground, I’m willing to bet my music is only going to get better with
time. Survival of the fittest. It is honest music devoid of trend. Music that
has been brewing slowly for a reason. Looking back, everything I’ve
experienced in my journey, has been set in front of
me, it seems, to patiently guide me to the “truth”, the present moment. As I
said before, only then does music truly resonate and have the impact it’s
destined to have. With this record, I
find that I’m getting closer to my
destination. Until I get there, I will always be a busker. |
